Looking for a Fanny Walker in the 1939 Census living in West Derby with her husband William Thomas Walker (b. 23 Sep 1894) and her son William John (b. 15 May 1925). She may have changed her name to Frances by this time. Can you please find an accurate birth date as I only have abt 1894 for her at the moment. Also did she have any other children at the time?

Hi Alan 1939 was a register for people in the hopes of the N.H.S but of course the war started. I don't have subs in fmp Wm T 1894 is listed and Fanny, the other listing is officially closed probably their child. Address is just Liverpool C.B.
Mary will know a lot more than I do. Cheers

Thanks again everyone. The address ties in with family knowledge so that is the right couple. I was looking for her death record but could not find it in Liverpool in the late 1960's until I spoke to her Granddaughter who had only ever known her as Frances! Could it be that the name Fanny had become unpopular and she changed it to Frances? Anyone else seen this in their research?
