Thanks for reading.

No promises, but I've sent a message to somebody who may have local knowledge of the area, hoping she can make some suggestions.

First of all the person I've asked about this is going to check St Elphins tomorrow to see if she can find anything, however she has pointed out

Seems to be pushing it for age even for some of the people we've come across. Could you perhaps have the wrong entry?

no, she was 68 years old when she died, the informant is her son Thomas NAYLOR of 25 Duke Street, Earlestown

http://knottynaylor.blogspot.co.uk/2016 ... death.html

Her son Joseph Naylor (1868-1943) married in 1910 at Prescot, Lancashire, England to Sarah Jane (or) Jane Leigh (or) Lee (1879–1956) - both buried Newton Cemetery at Grave Section N - Grave Number 416 Grave Suffix C - had hoped his mother would be there but it is just the two of them!

The Grave owned by her son Thomas has two of his wives, a cousin and some of his infant children - his mother Ellen isn't there either!

I haven't yet traced what happened to her son John NAYLOR after he appears with a ROBINSON family connection in 1911 at 31 Lord St, Earlestown

But the death in 1909 is for an 88 year old Ellen - unfortunately Freebmd at least has an error, perhaps a transcription error or maybe it's on the indexes themselves. I'll have to look and see.

Added - it has been transcribed incorrectly, a look at the actual index says 68 not 88.

My contact is checking St Elphins this morning anyway, so I've written to tell her the correct information.

I have also added a postem to the Freebmd entry as this is the search page used by most people who don't have any subscriptions, error also submitted on Ancestry. Presumably Findmypast does their own transcribing, as theirs is correct.

found this stating "Just a note on burials at Wargrave, Emmanuel. The burial registers covering the years 1854 to 1892 are missing and no B.T.'s or other copies survive."

I wonder if Joseph was buried there in 1872?
