Stella Bewleys Mum

Some help from the forum please, Re my late Aunty, Stella Bewley, Nee Fletcher.
I have Just received from my Cousin a copy of an auto biography completed by Stella shortly before her death in 2013, she was a month off her 95th birthday.
As you can imagine it was a fascinating read.
I met Stella for the first and last time in October 2011 at the Ramada Southport. I asked Stella to tell me about her Mother Eliza Fletcher, nee Johnston. She told me that she knew very little about her Mum other than there was a lot trouble prior her wedding back in 1909, Elisa was Catholic and her Husband was protestant, so Stella would not be drawn on the subject.
So I was somewhat surprised when reading Stella's biography that her Mum is mentioned. I quote "My Mothers name was Eliza, her maiden name was Johnston, her Mothers name was Jones. Eliza had three sisters, Kate, Cissy and Mary, two brothers, Andrew and George. Eliza was born in Wavertree, Liverpool, circa 1885".
I have checked for Eliza's birth on free BMD but can find no record. Maybe Wavertree has not been covered yet.
I would be very grateful if the forum could throw some light on Eliza and her parents and siblings.
Thanking you in advance. Gareth

Beat me to it DS, I believe you are correct in those censuses, confirmed by the witness to their marriage being Sarah whose marriage in 1917 to John Robert Jones shows her as 21 years old, so matches the 1901 census.

Bert, Mary And DS.
One word for it, Marvellous. I had gone out for a couple of hours and when I came back, job done

.
I think the only one that did not fit in was Andrew ??.Don't forget Stella was getting on in years.
One thing Bert reminded me of was the child death in the 1911 census. one of the forum said that it was probably Alfred Fletcher, must get the death cert to make sure, but it fits. To save confusion this was from a previous thread.
Thank you so much for your endeavours.
Gareth.

St Peter's Church Street, the Pro Cathedral. If you look at the pavement outside Next you will see a cross set in the pavement commemorating it.

MaryA.
Thank you for your prompt reply. Sorry another question. All of my old Fletcher relatives were married or baptised there in the early to mid 19th century and all of them, as far as i know, were C of E .So would Roman Catholics have been allowed to marry at St Peters, Church St ?
The reason i ask is that Stella Bewleys Mum, Eliza was supposedly Catholic, but we have a record of Eliza's Parents marrying at St Peters in December 1878

Maybe I've lost the plot. I just hope one of the forum can help me find it again.
Thanks. Gareth
