Hi can anyone help in finding when my 2 g granma left Ireland for Liverpool. Rosanna Reilly nee Field must have left between the dates 1862 ( the birth of her 3rd child) and her appearance in the 1871 census in Liverpool. She had 3 children Mary Josephine, Anne and Rosanna. I dont know if she travelled with her parents as well ( Thomas and Ann Field) or if they were already in in Liverpool
Rosannas husband John Reilly was admitted to the Hospital for Incurables in Dublin around 1867 until his death in 1870.
She remarried in 1872 in Liverpool
Thanks, Chris

There are no passenger lists for people travelling between England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Isle of Man and The Channel Islands. Travelling from Ireland to England was an internal journey so there was no immigration process. The Irish were migrants not immigrants. The whole of Ireland was in the UK in the 19th century. Even after the south of Ireland became self governing citizens of that state were not considered as foreigners.
