Anfield cemetery - Monument query

Hi all,
if anyone is visiting Anfield Cemetery could they please take a pic or take a note of inscription on the MacLennan Monument. I have seen a few pics online, but when I try to enlarge them I cannot read the inscription.
It is large, granite, and is in the form of an Egyptian pylon. It is to the North West of the crossing of the main paths. It is the only listed monument in Anfield so I think it must be pretty hard to miss.
Alexander Maclennan married Isabella Houston (nee Paterson) and it is Isabella who I believe is a member of my family tree.
Thanks for any help
kathy

Hi and welcome to the forum.
If anybody may be visiting Anfield they would need at the very least the detail of Section and Grave Reference as this cemetery is one of the biggest in Liverpool and no monument would be "hard to miss" as all need searching for over a large area.
You may be able to identify the details from this site which has many years listed.

When requesting help of this nature, ie a visit to a cemetery rather than just help with look ups, it would be a good idea to provide a note of your Society Membership Number please.

It's near to the centre of the central circle in the cemetery in terms of the pathways layout it doesn't have a section on maps:-

Thanks to Mary for the advice when posting.
I do not hold a membership and therefore I don't have a number to offer.
I believe I asked if anyone was going to the cemetery - I didn't request a special visit on my behalf.
I did give specific instructions as to the position of the monument. Anyone familiar with the cemetery would recognise exactly where the paths crossed and the monument it at that exact spot. It is not a small memorial stone.
Thanks to Blue for the map and position.

Thanks to Blue for the suggestion of the 'Friends of Anfield' group
Thanks to Luxor for the Historic England link
Thanks to Bert for the transcription of the inscription AND the Mercury newspaper cutting which was new to me.
I am hoping that I will get to Anfield in a few months time - but it was great to receive your help.
Alexander MacLennan married Isabella Houston who was the mother of JP Houston, the shipping magnate and MP for Toxteth. This part of my research makes a change from all the 'ag lab' men in my family.
Once again, thanks
Kathy

Thanks for posting Blue. Very interesting.
I knew RP Houston made his wealth trading in South America......so that fits with the ship.
In 1871 he was a 20 year old engineering draftsman living with his widowed mother Isabella in Liverpool. By 1881 he was a steamship owner. 20 years later he was an M.P. and in 1911 he was living in Knightsbridge. By then he was an extremely wealthy man. By the time of his death in 1826 he left his wife
5.5 million pounds. This is about £300 million in today's money! They had been married less than two years.
She became one of the richest women in the country.
thanks again
Kathy
