SINGLETON of Childwall

came across this possible marriage of my ancestor's parents:
Marriage: 13 Aug 1776 St Oswald, Winwick, Lancashire, England
William Singleton - (X), the Parish of Childwell
Mary Houghton - (X), this Parish
Witness: Robert Cross; John Singleton
Married by Licence by: J Lowe Curate
Register: Marriages 1766 - 1812, Page 182, Entry 2262
Source: LDS Film 1885708
has anyone got connections to the SINGLETON clan of Childwall?
I'm speculating their daughter Jane bapt 1785 in Newton in Makerfield, married John HIGSON in 1810 at Winwick and died in 1858 at Atherton is my ancestor; via Betty HIGSON bapt in 1813 at Leigh, married William WALMSLEY in 1834 at Winwick and died in 1883 at Leigh; via Ellen WALMSLEY born in 1840 at Newton in Makerfield, married Joseph NAYLOR in 1860 at Warrington and died in 1909 at Warrington.
Phew!
thank you.
