The Elms, Peel Street

My GG Grandmother, Elizabeth Budworth Bore, lived at The Elms,Peel Street at the time of her marriage in 1867. Looking at census records it appears her family lived here for some time.
I have seen photos on the Old Photographs site and they appear to have been large houses.
I do not believe Elizabeth came from a wealthy family. Does anybody know whether the address could have been an institution or were they divided up into courts or similar?
Many thanks.

Many thanks for those postings - they were very interesting and much appreciated.
My GGG Grandfther was a gardener. I am a little surprised that he lived there as many of the other residents seem to be clerks or artisan type professions.
In 1851 he was at 31 Wood Street.
In 1861 he was at The Elms and was still there when his daughter married in 1867. In 1871 he was living at what looks like 64 Hawkstone Street. I can see that there is a Hawkstone Street close to The Elms so assume that is the correct one although it is a short road, possible it was longer in the 1870s?

I wondered if anybody would have a directory for between 1861 and 1867 and would check whether George Budworth Bore is mentioned?
Many many thanks.

George Bore is listed at the Hawkstone Street address in 1873 Gore's - as a Landscape Gardener

I'm sure you already know he was at the same address at the time of his death, buried in Toxteth Park Cemetery.

Thank you all for your wonderful help.
Thank you Retiring Type for confirming his listing in the directory. That is very helpful.
Thank you also Blue for the map of Hawkstone Street. That has really helped me make sense oh where the house would have been on today's map. The layout of the streets seemed to have changed so much in that area.
Tina - that is really helpful too. Please could I ask where you found his death listed as I haven't been able to find it on Ancestry.
