Trying to piece together brothers William and John BLUNDELL from the 1841 census of New Street, Halsall:
John Blundell 40 wheelwright
Mary Blundell 18

1851 still at New Street, Halsall
John Blundell 52 wheelwright
Mary Blundell 28
John Blundell 21 wheelwright's son

Did John (junior) marry Martha Park nee Knowles on 10 Feb 1861 at Halsall?
1861 he a shopkeeper and post master on New Street, Halsall

In 1871 he appears to have become a wheelwright on New Street, Halsall I wonder when he passed away? Was he buried: 02 Mar 1883 in Ormskirk as John Blundell , Age: 54 ???

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did William marry Margaret SEFTON on 23 Feb 1845 at Liverpool, Our Lady & St. Nicholas & St. Anne ? only his father listed as a farmer there which makes me doubt ???

thanks for that but I'm not finding it on ancestry - do you have the 1871 ref or other occupants - I'm afraid I'm drawing a blank on ancestry search!

thank you I've found the 1861 entry no problem,

best wishes,

Ian

Not what you were asking, but my ancestor married a Richard Barton Blundell in 1906, father John Blundell, at St Philip's Church Litherland. Any link with yours?
