Hi All,still chasing details of my Liverpool, Lawsons. I now have the death certificate of Mary Ann Lawson,1890,age,31,widow of deceased Paul Lawson, age 42,1886.Son, John Lawson, age 6,died 1892,in the Liverpool Workhouse, Ann Eliza her daughter was born 1881 and I can find no further trace of.Mary Ann was living 14,Court,Rathbone Street,Liverpool,Lancashire when she died, the informant of her death gives the name of Mary Ann Phillips, Aunt, of 9,Ardwick Square,Liverpool, have googled to try and find this address but no luck at all.It is looking like this poor little family were wiped out entirely, all at very early ages.Has anyone some spare time to do a look up for me,for Ardwick Square so I can find who she was and her family on census and maybe find details of the child Ann Eliza Lawson who if she was still alive when her mother died would be age 10-11 hopefully staying with her Grt Aunt, Mary Ann Phillips.
Many Thanks Tsumi.

What can I say, only that I knew this forum would be able to help me and how fantastically so,even a map and Marriage cert.I would never have thought of Ardwick being Hardwick, but given a thick Liverpudlian accent yes it fits,so a very big thank you to Blue/Bertieone.
Many Many thanks Tsumi.

Hi Tsumi, great work by the boys! Did you notice a Henry Crawford 9mths orphan in 1891 census with Phillips family? Wasn't that Mary Ann's maiden name before she married Paul Lawson?
Henry is with the Murrell's in 1911 census as the cousin 21 single general porter.
Interesting!

Hi Tina,Long time no speak, good to hear from you.Yes the Boys did a fantastic job for me.
I am chasing young Henry Crawford hoping still to find Ann Eliza Lawson after 1891, thinking maybe she emigrated but with her Aunt and Uncle taking her in I am unsure ,and to make it all the more tragic for this little family group,Father John Henry seems to have died in 1895 ,so that brings more questions about them all. Robert James Crawford and Ann Eliza Phillips, born 1829,were Mary Ann Crawfords parents,so assume Henry Crawford was one of their grandchildren.Hope that make sense.
Big big thanks for the very welcome extra information.

Hi Tsumi, thanks for lovely reply. I have found a Henry Crawford in 1901 census he's 11 at Holy Trinity Ind School 77 Grafton St Tockie Park learning to be a joiner. As he is 21 in 1911 I thought he may have served in WW1 but can't find anything. I don't have access to emigration records, perhaps one of our members can have a look?

Hi
You probably have this information - Paul Lawson 29 married Mary Ann Crawford 21 at St Nicolas Church Liverpool 30/05/1879.
Ann Eliza Lawson b 19/05/1881 baptised 25/07/1881 St Peters Church Liverpool.
Both are on Anx.

Hi Tina,Yes I was thinking on the same lines as you about WW1,wonder why he didn,t join up,maybe he became a Seaman ? many thanks for the 1901 census information I came across it just after you wrote . I have sent off for what I hope is Henry Crawford,s Birth Cert April -June 1890,want to know who his parents were, see if that leads me anywhere.I have thought maybe Ann Eliza Lawson emigrated or was one of the Home Children, similar to another "relly" Teresa Catherine Feeny Born,1906,but that was another story.
Yappie,Yes I do have that information, but none the less many thanks for your time and input, and thank you both very much for your very knowledgeable help.
Once again, Many many thanks everyone for all your time and help which is invaluable.
Tsumi.

Hi :)
Checking on National Archives there is a possible record for Henry Crawford 203355 Loyal North Lancashire Regiment - 4th Reserve Battalion 1914. Transferred to Labourer Corps under No. 548088 in 1919 due to appendicitis contracted in Egypt. Discharged to 26 Prospect Street (next of kin wife - no name) On another page next of kin is sister Mrs Murrills of 7 Penton Street. Might be worth checking out. :? Good luck.

Hi Bertieone,Thank you so much for all your great finds as well as this latest one,I will let you know when the birth cert arrives if Harry is indeed his father, it looks correct to me,and well within the timescale.Sooner rather than later I am sure Ann Eliza Lawson B 1881 will be found .Once again you people on this forum are most generous with their time and knowledge and I thank you .
