Hi all.
I am interested in finding out more about a family who was living at 11 Bridport Street at the time of the 1851 census. The details on this census are:

Anne Owens - born abt 1785 in Gresford, Denbighshire; unmarried; lodging house keeper
Margaret Edwards - born abt 1788 in Gresford; widow
Samuel Clark - nephew; born abt 1841 in Liverpool

On the 1841 census, the widowed Margaret ('Marg' on the census) was living in Clayton Street and a 20 year old William Clarke ('Wm' on the census) was living with her. William is my ancestor and I know he was also born in Gresford but I cannot find out who his parents were and was hoping to tackle the issue from another angle. I don't need any more details about William unless it is to make a link with Samuel Clark as I have found him on the subsequent censuses and have his marriage and death records.

Might be able to match them with Baptisms
25 July 1842 Samuel Clark parents James & Hannah of Derby Street, occupation Labourer

Possible marriage 12 February 1838 at St Peters, James Clark and Hannah Scurr

and
22 November 1840 Samuel Clarke parents Edward and Martha of Black Street, occupation Porter

Hi Mary. I had noticed the James/Hannah entry but not the Edward/Martha one. Trouble is that neither female has a maiden name of Owens and I'm thinking this would have to be the case for Samuel to be Anne Owens's nephew (i.e. Anne's sister marrying a Clark). I suppose it could be a second marriage, of course.
Also, I did find a James and Hannah on the 1851 census liiving in Johnson Street and one of their children was a Samuel born about 1843 so I thought this was likely to have been the child baptised at St Peter's.
