Hi Everyone,

I've posted this on the Bootle site (My mum's family are from around there) but dad's family are from the Liverpool area.

I'm hoping the young lad on the photo, Joe Cahill, might be someone who is special to them.

L-R from the back row: Ronnie Scully (Dad's sister) Mrs Chetwood (The lady dad was placed with) Frances Connor nee Scully (Dad's sister) Robbie Connor (Husband of Frances) holding their baby daughter Eileen. The young lads in front of the adults are Joe Cahill & my dad John Scully. The youngest boy in the front is unknown.

Hi Tracey is there any chance you can scan that and upload it to Photobucket and see if it shows a little larger. I believe the little lad in the front is a family member as looking at the picture this size there is a remarkable resemblance to my first boyfriend

Do you have any specific query we can try to help with or are you just interested in trying to make contact with Joe Cahill or his descendants. Do you know if he was also an evacuee or might he have lived in Shropshire?

I have had some very good luck in tracing and contacting people via Facebook.

Arrr A Mary, it took me sooo long to get to grips with this posting photo's thingy!! I'll have a go at Photobucket.

I only posted it to see if Joe Cahill was a relative of someone on here & might like to see a photo of him when he was a young lad & to see a photo of Mrs Chetwood who my dad was placed with.

Dad didn't know the little boy's name. He's put in brackets at the back of the photo (Little boy?) I can see a resemblance to someone I know too

The address on the back is: Brownheath Cottage, Loppington, Shropshire.
