"Cities Annual Outing"

Hi, ive just unearthed another photograph on which both my grandfather and my great grandparents are on. It is obviously a works trip, at the front of the group of around 30 people is a plaque with the above quote, dated 1937. the only other clue is that at the centre of the group is one person dressed as what I imagine to be a milkman, though the rest of the group are in their sunday best.
I hope someone can shed some light on the Company involved;
Thanks Chris.

Could the milkman looking chap be a charabanc driver?

Hi Chris,
Would you scan and post that photo for the crew?

Hi Dickiesam, I initially intended to put the photo up (which would have been far more interesting) but I couldn't find away to add it as an attachment. If some kind soul could point me in the right direction id be very grateful,
Thanks again Chris

Great photo Chris. I agree with Bert... Back then coach [charabang where I lived] drivers did wear such outfits and an 'official' cap.

I'm glad the instructions work so well, as the photobucket site has changed recently you have been a guinea pig and come through with flying colours
I would also think he was the charabang driver. Love the grin on the guy behind him, there was always one wasn't there to get the jokes flowing and the fun started, he'd be the one.

This is the only photograph I have of my great grandmother Mary Ann Henry nee Peasley (second row up, second from the left) who sadly 4 years later, was to die in the May blitz on Index St, along with 3 of her daughters whilst celebrating her daughter Eileens 21st birthday.
