Does anyone know if there are records for this school I think it was for orphans and I believe my grandmother was there 1901 census Florence Barrow I am trying to trace her parents, I have her marriage cert 1909 her father is down as Richard Barrow (deceased) sailor. I wondered if there were records somewhere that might tell me why she was there and her parents names.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
This is not a school I've come across, but there are many throughout Liverpool and not all records survive.
If there are any they should be held at the Liverpool Record Office, best contactable by email
http://liverpool.gov.uk/libraries/archi ... y-history/ If there are any also ask if they are on microfilm or document form as if the latter you will need to book a place in the archives 24 hours ahead to view them.
Please email them and ask and we will be interested to know if there is anything held for this school. Checking the catalogue there does appear to be a number of photographs which you might be interested in seeing - again these will be in the archives and need to be booked to see them.

I hope one day a clue will turn up to lead you further on. Sadly she may not have known her father's name, often one is made up to save face on a marriage certificate.

Perhaps another enquiry about this establishment is needed to the Record Office.
