Joseph Kitchen - died 1835

Please - where do I start to look for details of Joseph Kitchen who died in 1835 and I think in Liverpool. His widow I believe was Betsey and she then married again (twice) to a John Wilson and a Hugh Douglas.
The Kitchens were a family divided between Cumbria and Liverpool but can't find him in Irton or Ulverston Cumbria.
Many thanks if anyone can help
