John Heyes, Coroner

I am researching the Heyes family based around Knowsley / Prescot - particularly my 3rd great grandfather John Heyes, born 1793. He was an attorney who became a Lancashire county coroner. His father's name was James. He married Anne Wright in 1819 and they had 8 children that I am aware of. That is really the limit of my knowledge. Anne is a widow in the 1861 Census but I cannot find details of John's death. I can find no information at all about his father except that he is named in John's Articles of Clerkship in 1810. I live in Australia, so am unable to make any physical searches in the UK. I wondered whether anyone in the Society has any knowledge of my family which they could pass on to me or make any suggestions as to where I can search. I am registered with Ancestry.com, but cannot seem to get any further. My family is descended through John's son, also named John, who married Fanny Elizabeth Parker in 1867. If anyone has any knowledge of these individuals, or any other members of the family, I would be most grateful.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I was surprised not to find a death entry from the family in the newspapers but I did find the following two.
We have tried to put together some links to sites for cemeteries, but these are mainly in the Liverpool area, I think it likely that St Mary's Prescot might be the church where he would have been buried, these records should be held on microfilm by either Huyton Library or Liverpool Record Office.
