Hi and welcome to the forum.

The census also gives a John Lorimer Anderson, his birth in the indexes is Q2 1908 Birkenhead 8a 557. His baptism however, is on Findmypast, if you don't subscribe to it you could get a few credits if you think it might give you some useful information, such as where they were living at the time of his birth and which church they attended.

As their marriage is listed on LancashireBMD in 1907 as being "West Derby, Register Office or Registrar Attended", it would seem that they were likely to be RC. The marriage doesn't show on Ancestry so we can't help with the details, but to confirm the fathers names which you need to progress further back, you can order the marriage certificate online at http://www.gro.gov.uk using the following reference - Q2 1907, W. Derby 8b 856

The Fattorini's lived in Southport

Father John was born York about 1844.
In 1891 he is a widower living at 30 Union Street a watchmaker

He then married Susan and by 1901 had John Jessie and Gertrude and was living at 16 Union Street

Ten years later the family is at 18 Union St

More to follow.

Actual GRO Index entry reads Fattorine or Musgrove for spouse name. Usually denotes a spouse was divorced. Never seen it used for a widowed spouse. Confusingly, FreeBMD transcribes this as two distinct entries whereas the GRO Index only has a single entry.

John the OP's great great grandfather married Susan Bethell in 1892

They had John Arthur in 1893 this is the OP's great grandfather

Jessie Emma in 1896

Gertrude Mary in 1899

John great grandfather married Bertha Musgrove and they had Mary Millicent in 1914 and John in 1915

Jessie E married Thomas E Lawlor

With the address being Union Street I would imagine marriages and baptisms could have been at St Marie of the Sands Southport. Their registers are on film at Sefton Local History at Crosby Library.

Checked National Archives, but didn't find details of a divorce, however the name Fattorini threw up a number of entries that might be of interest to Robby, Medal Cards, Seamen's Records, Flying Corps records etc. another place for him to look.
