A relative of mine used to be the landlord of the Moulders Arms at 40-something Mersey Street in Warrington, in 1851.

Does any one know if the property is still standing or what is in its place now.

also does anyone know where I can find a photo of the pub?

Many thanks :D

Hi

The Moulders Arms is not listed on any hostelry site, so may assume that it may have changed its name or been pulled down.

Hi

The 1871 census gives a list of Public Houses in Warrington, but there is no mention of a Moulders Arms.

On some of the Censuses it is only listed as the street number (47 Mersey Street, I think)

Moulders Arms, Warrington.

Hi,

A distant relative of mine was there at the Moulders Arms in 1871 according to the census records.

So if you find any photos please forward them on to me as well!

Many Thanks,

Sam

Hi Big bird
Just browsing and noticed your post
Were your relatives the Bolton family?
If you google moulders arms warrington then go onto the warrington worldwide forum there is some info regarding this pub. It is a recent posting . It did have 2 addresses, I think 29 and 47? - must have changed premises. I think its the job centre now.
