Hi

Welcome to the forum. The full record is not available only the brief details are available at the Liverpool Record Office ie the information you would get on a death certificate. There may be more information via the newspapers of the time. Here is some further information about the official records:-

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As Blue advises, there may be a write up in the Liverpool Echo which won't be as onerous search as you might think as you have the exact date of death to begin from. These are on microfilm.

Hi Maggie,

In the event you haven't seen this,

Isabella was buried at Walton Park, 28 Nov 1922, Address, 86 Rishton/Rushton St. ?

A note, Coroners Order, permission would have to be given by the coroner for the burial to proceed.

Isabella and Patricia are both buried at Walton Parochial cemetery in paid ground the reference I have for Isabella is CG 108 56 W 10/- coroners order and for Patricia CG 3291 48 X 7/- G Stepen Jones chaplin I presume the money for the graves came from charity not sure what it meant most of the family members are in public graves I understand this cemetery has been closed for a long time so no chance of finding the graves thanks for the information

The cemetery has been closed for a long time and there are no records of where individual graves are. There used to be somebody who would try to assist to locate, given enough time, but apparently they have now left. The cemetery has been the City Farm for many years and hopefully kept as tidy as possible by the animals. One of our forum members, Vic, visited the cemetery recently and posted these links
Rice Lane, Walton - opened 1856 (also known as Walton Park or Walton Parochial Cemetery)
Layout of Walton Park Cemetery and key to the layout but I believe confirmed that it would be extremely difficult to find a particular grave.

I'm sorry to say that although I checked the Liverpool Echo from the date of death until a few days after the date of the Inquest, I could find no mention of Isabella. I also double checked with the Staff, what I believe I already knew, that no Coroner's Reports have survived.

That's usually one of our first suggestions when people are just starting out. Many say that their relatives are elderly and may not remember, but generally speaking they like to talk and if you can lead the chat around to their youth and you can pick up clues. Take notes as even the most unlikely story probably has a grain of truth to it that hopefully you can verify.

Sorry we haven't been able to confirm your story Maggie.
