Upton Hall R/C School Wirral ?

Further to me earlier post re the mysteries of Ellison/Roberts I have made some positive headway but have now hit the proverbial "brickwall" again.
Does anyone know anything of the history of the above named institution ?
Or maybe know of a local historian for the area ?
I do know it was owned and administered by Nuns of the order of the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ for short), and as well as offering "boarding" school education to the more wealthy congregation, also ran a "poor school" where underprivileged children were taken in and raised to be "useful members of the community" i.e trained to go into 'domestic service'?.
I had thought that the Nugent Society would have been the natural archivists for this but apparently not, and have been offered no advice as to where I might look further.
The period I am particularly interested in is 1920 - 1930 and would like to be able to find out if any records of the children they helped have survived for that time ?
So that is now my quest, of course I am familiar with the modern day structure of the school and the Modern organisation of the Sisters of FCJ but have not found anything of an historical note pertinent to my search, ...as yet?
Can anyone possibly help point the way, please ?
