Baptism 1901 - Edward Howard

Post by dickiesam »

Hi folks,
Is there a baptism online for Edward Howard, bn March qtr of 1901 but not registered until the June qtr? Looking for his DoB.

The census shows him as 1 month old so he is probably one of these:
Births Jun qtr 1901:
HOWARD, Edward - Liverpool - 8b - 104
HOWARD, Edward - Liverpool - 8b - 111

His parents were Edward [a tailor by trade] and Elizabeth Howard [nee Fry]. Their census address was 6 Clare Street. Sadly the child died before the end of the year and is probably one of these:
Deaths Sep qtr 1901:
Howard, Edward - 0 - W. Derby - 8b - 425
Howard, Edward - 0 - Liverpool - 8b - 111

Got a Thomas Patrick 17 March, baptised 28 March, 1900 at Holy Cross with those parents. Sorry no address given. Godmother Elizabeth Fry.

An amendment to the Latin was submitted on 20/12/2012
Thomas Patrick Howard rather than Thomas Patritius Howard
Ecclesiastical records of this time were in Latin, ergo Patritius = Patrick in the vernacular.

Request for him to come and see your post has been sent to the poster.

Thanks MaryA. That Thomas was Edward's older brother and his godmother was his g.mother and my g.g.mother. And she was mother to the Thomas Fry whose two young children were found abandoned in Mill Lane in 1898 and who 'vanished', together with his wife, before the 1901 census.
