Am trying to tie up some Very loose ends before the New year


I have in my tree the young lady? below; she is listed as step-dau to a James Barnes Hoare (my connection)born 1874 L.pool occ: ships mate 1901/Master Mariner c1910

1901 ensus:RG13; Piece: 3414; Folio: 15; Page: 22.


Other than the 1901 census there is no other trace of her.. have tried everything.

B Hoare. Listed as widowed(she's not) James Barnes Hoare is with a new family in Kings Lynn Norfolk(not certain they were ever married,possible bigamy?) Her mother's occ: is Agent for Chinese Interests.


Have managed to trace all the childrens lives, including the Norfolk connection, would love to find her or him?
Just wondered if a clever pair of fresh eyes could find anything?

Per LancsBMD there are also two other deaths

Peter Chungting age 4 in 1890 St Thomas Sub District
and
Peter Chungting age 49 in 1894 St Thomas Sub District

Perhaps the older Peter was Emily's husband.

Also a birth for a William Thomas Chungting Q4 1892 Liverpool 8b 76 - no apparent death popping up for him.

Knew nothing about Emily Louisa.. but both Christian names are very familiar within my family, wonder who the father was? Something else to keep me busy.

It's all fitting into place now. I think

I was not convinced Emily was born L.pool but her father was a William Henry Moitt born c 1835 Singapore.

Your Allan turned out to be Ah Lan.. she married William Young Lai in 1904, then married Bow You Ho in 1913.

Her parents were Peter and Emily Chung Ting, who married in 1884. They had some children of which William b 1892 is living with Amy Tam in 1901 in Wales, but he dies in 1902 in Liverpool. Another sibling Emily born and dies 1890 as well as 4 year old Peter dies in 1890.
Possible death for Pter snr in 1894 age 49.
Emily has another daughter Emily to Mr Hoare who married in 1921 to Foo Hong Dat.

Emily Chung Ting/Hoare nee Moitt is born in Ince Blundell but her dad William in Singapore.

Think that's the gist of it anyway
