IGI batch number, no parish shown

I am looking for two baptisms, one 1827, the other 1829 and they appear in the IGI as only 'Liverpool' with no parish shown. The batch number is C02404-2, the names are Elizabeth and Josias Booker, children of Josias (senior) and wife Elizabeth.

Any suggestions for tracing the church please?

With great difficulty!

I had this problem with my grandmother's baptism it just gives Oswestry. I contacted the LDS who first told me a place in the States!! and then said to look under the film n umber. That give me the option of 9 churches so I'm still none the wiser.

I tried your batch number on Hugh Wallis' site it didn't appear

Then I got the film number and went to the Library Catalogue and got nowhere.

I then tried his baptism again and got it up 3 times including this

parents:
Josias Booker, Elizabeth

name:
Josias Booker
gender:
Male
baptism/christening date:
09 Feb 1829
baptism/christening place:
St. Andrews, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
birth date:
16 Dec 1828
father's name:
Josias Booker
mother's name:
Elizabeth
indexing project (batch) number:
C02016-8
system origin:
England-EASY
source film number:
1656148

This has a different batch and film number but appears to be the same event

Thanks very much for your digging. I could not remember the name of Hugh Wallis, but you have done the work for me.
I am assuming (always dangerous) that the church must have been the one in Renshaw Street, described by James Picton as ' the ugliest church in Liverpool', and closed in 1892. This is the first time I have come across any need to look it up. There were no Scots links that I know of, which might have taken us to Bold Street and the Presbyterian Kirk.

I have plenty on that family, thanks, but could not fill the gap which Hilary has done for me. The family (not related to me) have left their name in Booker Avenue, and in an indirect way, the Booker Prize for literature.

I think it might be the one on Rodney Street which opened 1823 and closed in 1975 according to Wikipedia.

My brain said Renshaw but my fingers went for Bold!
