Hi Guys,

I recently took a stroll down memory lane and revisited the area where I was born and grew up, namely Farnworth Street /Kensington, I attended both Boaler St and Newsham Sec Mod.

Boaler St school is now partly a pre-school catering for 2-4 year olds whilst the rest are offices of a social housing association. I know that after it closed , the secondary school became a centre catering for adults with learning difficulties.disabilities and I am sure I read that it had closed down a few years ago. Does anyone know what it is used for now? There were vehicles parked up in the old playground.

Regards
Frank

Googling brings up a "business" directory for Liverpool http://www.merseyside.com/street/Boaler_Street/

It seems possible that is it still a Social Services Department for Intermediate Care.

Hi....I went to St Margarets Girls School SMA and used to walk to Boaler street school with my class on a Friday afternoon to do cookery...it was in a building at the far end of the playground. :)

Brought back memories :) Ann
