1912 Mineral Water Manufacturers in Southport

Post by keithinroby »

My grandfather Daniel Calland Glover was in the mineral water trade all his working life.
In 1912 he had a motor vehicle registed in his name at 3b St Lukes Road Southport.
Nearby at that time there was a mineral water manufacturer Thomas Barrow at 104 Kensington Road.
I am making an assumption that these two facts are connected.
Does anybody have knowledge about the mineral water trade in Southport then :?:

RE:
Hi Keith, In that same census there isn't a 3b listed in St Lukes Road, Southport.
Rechecked the enumerator's street list and found there is a 3a St Lukes Road, Southport. It is shown as a lock-up workshop. No residents. Maybe a lock-up garage?

The Southport Directories might be helpful. They're at Crosby library. When we do our next help desk there on Friday 21 September I'll have a look.
