Hi, I am new to researching family history, and am finding it completely addictive. I wonder if you could help me? I have always been told that my gra nfathers family originated from Ireland. This is where I am at a standstill. I have traced Thomas Pritchard and his wife Mary to Everton, Liverpool in the 1891 Census. They were born in Anglesey. I would like to know if the connection here is with Ireland?
I would appreciate your help in this matter.
Thankyou
Marilyn

Hi Marilyn,
Welcome to the forum. Can you post the information you found for them on the 1891 Census so we can work backwards and see if we can find any Irish roots.
Cheers,
Blue

Hi Marilyn and welcome,
Haven't found the family in 1891 yet. Can you post the census reference details? The reference will begin with RG12 and be similar to that beneath my 1881 census message.
Could you confirm that this is your family in 1881?
PRITCHARD, Thomas - Head - 47 - 1834 - Mariner rigger - Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales.
PRITCHARD, Mary Anne - Wife - 33 - 1848 - Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales.
Address: 2 In 5 Court, Lad Lane, Liverpool.
RG11 - Piece: 3612 - Folio: 67 - Page: 28
And could you please post information on the children born to this couple... names, when and where?
EDIT to ask: Do you have Mary Ann's maiden name from a child's birth cert or her marriage cert?
