Missing Hazlehursts

Hoping for a bit of luck with some missing Hazlehursts.
Emily Hazlehurst née Sedman, born 1844 in Scarborough, married James Hazlehurst who died in Liverpool in 1887. Emily then disappears completely. I can't find a remarrige or a death. Her daughter, also Emily married Robert Williams in 1887 (just in case someone comes across this marriage).
The other missing Hazlehursts are Effie, born Liverpool 1879 and Percy, born Liverpool 1885. I have found a Percy on Anc** who died in Melbourne, Australia in 1955.His wife was Ethel Margaret Sullivan. I know one of the Hazlehursts did go to Australia and I wondered if his mother and sister went as well. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance
Barbara

You may rule it out almost definitely because of the date, but there is a passenger list for the Osterley leaving London for Australia on 25 November, 1910, listed are
Mrs Hazlehurst, housewife, single or unaccompanied by husband
Ivy single or unaccompanied by husband
Emily between 1-12
and William infant.
(Effie = Ivy?) or do you know Effie's full name?

In the absence of a marriage/death for the mother Emily, and deaths for Effie and Percy, before the 1891 census I have to think they emigrated or moved from England/Wales shortly after the father died. And no marriages for these two either...
I think 'arrivals' in Australia is the next step, from the Dec qtr of 1887 when the father James died. Perhaps there were already family out there at that stage? Their names are not in the Passenger Lists starting in 1890. I am wondering if the Irvy [aged over 12] leaving for Brisbane in 1910 with Mrs Emily Hazlehurst, and children under 12 William and Emily, is actually Effie? Did they come 'home' and are going out again?

Kenneth you are a genius! I'm sure that's got to be them. There can't be two families with children of those names surely. I knew Ambrose went to Australia and eventually married but it's only just occured that he hadn't gone by himself.
Thanks to everyone for all the input. Another little brick out of the wall. Next question - how do I find out what happened to them all in Oz?
Many thanks
Barbara

Barb and Kenneth! Great find... It has to be the family. Where were they heading though? Surely a relative was waiting for them? Otherwise a tremendous risky trip to take with very young children.

Well done, great finds! and I feel sure the trip in 1910 was them returning again, possibly after a holiday? They may have been home to visit family, pity we can't find them on incoming lists also.

There's an Ambrose Hazelhurst marrying on the Australia Marriage Index on Ancestry and also a possible death in 1938 on the Australian Death Index.

I found Ambrose's marriage via GR - he married Clara Sophie Trewethy in 1921. There were no children as I think they were both in their forties. I know Percy married from Anc** - maybe there were children. Is there a way to find out? I'm all excited now!
Barbara
PS Does anyone think the children in the 1910 trip could be Emily's grandchildren?

I think that would be a reasonable assumption, it's just proving whose children they were.

I've made slight progress with Percy. He appears to have had a daughter in 1912, named Ethel Margaret for her mother and born in Footscray, Victoria. This daughter married someone called Johns - no first name and no date. All info from world tree Anc**
Well it's a start but still don't know who Emily brought to England around 1910, if it was her. What a pity she didn't wait a year, she might have been on a census. No consideration these ancestors!
