arranged Roman Catholic marriages

I was just wondering.
I have a few Roman catholic baptism records for members in my family tree.
Written next to the entry is the name of their future sposes.
On checking the marriage records I have found that these baptised children do marry the future spouse named.
Was this a common thing for arranged marriages within Roman Catholic families.

Hi Maxine,
I have come across a couple of similar baptisms and they all related to 'late conversions' to RC, adult baptisms usually about 6 months before the actual marriage. The priest would have known about the impending marriage hence the conversion and baptism.

These were not arranged marriages the note was added when they married.

It surprised me when I first noticed this in an RC Parish Register, but then I realised that when a marriage took place the baptismal certificate was requested and the information about the marriage was often noted beside the entry in the Baptismal Register.
