Apparently Back Bittern Street is still listed on googlemaps, and is close to the RC Cathedral.
I've checked Ancestry, both C of E and RC, which are the only ones they apparently hold, and also checked Gibsons for an MI, which also covers Presbyterian and others, but nothing showing for Barbara.
I thought maybe St James or Toxteth Park, but both of these have online databases and I don't find her there either. Necropolis is a possibility, but without a headstone.
We tried to collect some links to cemeteries
http://www.forum.liverpool-genealogy.or ... it=burials one site you might like to browse is the
Old Mersey Times which has many links and lists, you might be lucky to come across her.
Lastly as you have the exact date of death you could approach Allerton Cemetery Lodge, 192 Woolton Road, Liverpool L19 5NF Telephone: 0151 233 3004 or email from the site

Church of Scotland is Presbyterian, and so the Kirk (St Andrew's) in Rodney Street is a possibility. There are certainly some burials there, but I do not know if the registers are in the Record Office.

Not sure that burials continued up to the date we are looking at.
This from the Record Office archive
St. Andrews, Rodney Street - Register of graves, 1825-1854, 1867

Hi Mary,
There is a John Sullivan Rooney of Wright st buried in Toxteth 1863,looks like a communial grave age three, if it is the same 1861 family his parents John Rooney and Barbara with a Mrs Sullivan mother in law,1856 St Michael in the city a John Rooney married a Barbara Sullivan, could just be coincidence.

I'm sure it sounds just too much like the right family for it to be just coincidence. Well done I'm sure Annejay will be delighted with your finds.
