An enquiry from Mexico

An enquiry has come through our online form rather than the forum, but I thought I'd see if anybody could assist. It's not going to be easy but I have done as best a translation job as I can on Babelfish.
"Lo único que sé es que mi bisabuelo era de Liverpool y a finales de 1800 viajo a México donde entró a trabajar a The Mexican Light and Power Co., en Necaxa, Puebla. Luego por una extraña razón le añadieron la letra "A" al apellido quedando como es actualmente. Su nombre, hasta donde sé era: Jesse Oliver. En verdad me gustaría averiguar más sobre mi familia."
"The unique thing that I know is that my great-grandfather era of Liverpool and at the end of 1800 I travel to Mexico where it entered to work to The Mexican Light and Power Co., in Necaxa, Puebla. Soon for a strange reason they added to the letter " to him; A" to the last name being as it is at the moment. Its name, to where I know was: Jesse Oliver. In truth I would like to find out more on my family."
To put into plainer English I suspect Jose knows very little except that his ancestor Jesse Oliver left England and travelled to Mexico - I wonder if he actually means "end of 1800" or the end of the 1800's which could be very different, to work at the Mexican Light and Power Co. in Necaxa, Puebla. An "A" was added to his surname making it "Olivera" and this has been continued by the family.
I have asked him to log onto our forum and try to give us more information but how much English he has I don't know.
