I believe Bath street was in the area where the Liverpool Echo office's stands today.
After visiting the New Museum in Liverpool I have a feel for the life my Grandmother lived. (Lockwood family) However I have been unable to find photo's ,sketches, maps, etc to confirm my thought about the cramped and sad conditions, the familes lived in
looking for help

This is obviously what you have already seen
http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/mol/ ... using.aspx

I think you will also find this site quite informative http://www.mersey-gateway.org/

And as for a map, the Liverpool History Projects is very good for identifying where streets were - http://www.liverpoolhistoryprojects.co. ... /M1213.htm Bath Street not far from Prince's Dock.

Bath Street is still there, I drive along it regularly although like most people I think of it as The Dock Road

Liverpool Record Office has a large photographic collection with many photos of streets. You would ahve to make an appointment to go to their Sandhills office to see them.
