David Lazarus/Dobb

If anyone would like a challenge then maybe someone can find this young man.
David Thornton Lazarus was born Jan 1881 to Louis/Lewis Lazarus, born in Poland, and Frances née Dobb. They were married in the Jan quarter of 1880, registry office or registrar attended.
By 1883 Frances is re-married to William John Smith at St Simon's, Liverpool. On the marriage certificate she is a spinster.
David appears on the 1891 census living with his grandfather, Thomas Dobb. He is with his aunt, Jane Turner, née Dobb on the 1901.
After that he disappears. I can't find a death for either Dobb or Lazarus which matches his age. I've also drawn a blank with his father, Louis.
I'd love to clear up this little mystery.
Any suggestions?

Hi Barbara,

Name: David LAZARUS
Date of departure: 22 November 1911
Port of departure: Southampton
Passenger destination port: New York, USA
Passenger destination: New York, USA
Date of Birth: Unknown.
Marital status: Single; Gender: Male
Occupation: Jeweler
Passenger recorded on: Page 1 of manifest

Master's name: J C Jamison

But! I can't find this DL the jeweler in 19*n census the same year going back with a YoB to 1830. Maybe he was going home to the US? Can anyone find him arriving in NY on the St Louis or arriving in the UK?

There are three David Lazarus +/- 5 years of 1881 in America, without even specifying a place they all turn up in the New York area, however, for reasons of parentage etc., only one of them could even be a possible, however he does give New York for his birthplace.
Central Park West, Manhattan, New York
David Lazarus is 35, a Surgical Physician, parents were born England
Wife Harriet is 25 also born New York, father born Germany, mother born England
Eliss is son, 3 years 2 months old
Harold Gross is brother in law, 29 born New York, occupation medical physician.
1920;Census Place: Manhattan Assembly District 9, New York, New York; Roll: T625_1201; Page: 13B; Enumeration District: 670; Image: 302
I think this man is unlikely.

Thanks for the input all.
DS I did think he might have emigrated but in the 1901 he's a printer (as was his grandfather, Thomas) and he was definitely born in England.
Mary, I agree, it's definitely the wrong man.
Thanks Tina for the baptism contribution.
David remains a mystery man for the moment. Obviously Frances' new husband wasn't too keen on taking poor David as well hence him being passed around 'like snuff at a wake', as my Gran would have said!
Cheers
