Baptism Records for St Xavier's

Post by graleystives »

My Grandmother, Marie Edmondson, was born in 1913to a Catholic Mother and a C of E Father. She always understood that she was raised (along with her siblings)as Anglican.
However I have just found Catholic Baptism records for her 3 eldest siblings (1902 - 1905) from St Xaviers Catholic church.
This would obviously suggest that they were raised as Catholics.
Unfortunately the online records stop at 1906. Is there any way of checking (online) whether Marie was also Christened as a Catholic?
Many thanks
Looking for Graley, Roseby, Frankish, Wragge/Wragg, Burke, Scott and
Edmondson.

Hi

Do you mean St Francis Xavier (SFX)? You could try contacting Liverpool History Projects you will find their e-mail addresses on the website below. They don't have RC baptism indexes on the site after 1900 but they do say they can be contacted about obtaining records other than the dates shown to be available. I contacted them and obtained a number of baptism records for St Augustine's between 1900 and 1920. It should be easy to find if you know the date of birth. They usually charge £3 per record you can buy by Paypal and have the record sent to you by e-mail:-
