Hi all
Can any one please help, I am trying to find just were my Great grandad Charles Povah, may have been buried, all I know is that he died on 14 November 1903, and the last known address was on the 1901 census it was 1 Prince Albert Cottages Upper Fredrick St Liverpool, would any one know the nearest cemetery.
I have put his name in a few cemetery sites and according to them there was only one Povah ever buried in Liverpool.
I would really appreciate any help with my Grandad please or any other Povah, as I exspect they will be my Povah's
Kind regards Sue

First up - I would try Toxteth Park (Smithdown Road) or Anfield.

Hi D
Thanks for that, I have tried both on line sites and as I said only found one Povah, and as far as I know not one of mine.
I know there are Povah in Anfield, Everton, West Derby and I am sure there must be some in Toxteth as the family came from Park Lane, My G Great grandfather Samuel Povah his burial was at St James according to the news paper in 1871 but they have no record of him.
Thanks again for the help kind regards
Sue

Just to say Suelew
There is a will for Samuel Povah, late of Lpool, Engineer
he left 3,000 pounds, doesn't list anyone who benefited.
died 21 Sept 1871.

Could be some unclaimed money for you
