Hello All
I know you deal with Liverpool & Sth. West Lancs. But any suggestions will be appreciated. By using an address is there anyway I can find the missing woman( I don't even Know if they were married) On the 1841 census the address is Belgrave Terrace, Leeds. His name is Samuel Chadwick and four girls aged 11 downwards (I don't Know if they are his daughters, although they have the same surname as him) I have checked Yorkshire BMD. and Parish records .Plenty of women with that surname died before 1841, and other than sending for every BMD certificate, this is my "brick wall".

Hi Seeker,
The family are at HO107 - Piece:1349 - Book/Folio:1/39 - Page:4.
The youngest child Hannah is probably the most accurately reported as regards age. While there are 7 births in Yorkshire between Sept 1837 and Dec 1838, there's only one in Leeds in 1838.
Births Mar 1838> Chadwick, Hannah - Leeds - 23 - 397.
Since this is the only birth in the family in the GRO Birth Index, if you can't find a baptism and in the absence of any other clues, I think it would be worth getting the birth cert to confirm the parents' names.

For the sake of ordering the above certificate I would be inclined to make the assumption that Hannah was the daughter of Samuel and stipulate his name as the father. If it is incorrect, they will probably refund your money, then you could think again about whether he is the father or not and order without stipulation if you feel inclined.
