Walton on the Hill, Grave Inscription

Hi Guys, after many years of searching ive finally found the records of an ancestors grave at St Marys church, Walton on the Hill, Liverpool. Although i have the details of all 5 interments and can link 4 of them to each other my relative, Uriah Halsall, i cant seem to connect to the others (though he is listed as the grave owner and a trustee (i assume of the church). I havent seen the grave myself but am informed that the graveyard has been vastly reduced in recent years and that very few gravestones still remain.

Does anyone know if there is a list of gravestone inscriptions held anywhere at all?

My relative, Uriah Halsall was buried there on Dec 26th 1859 (the 1st interment) and is in Grave no 9 3/20B

Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks, Luke

I think this question was also asked by one of our members recently but I don't recollect that we have heard an answer.

I do believe that there are a large number of gravestones there, I had a few photographs of the graveyard myself but this site seems to give a good example of the state of things, albeit back in 2007 I don't think much has changed since http://www.liverpoolmonuments.co.uk/chu ... rys16.html

I heard a number of years ago that it would be very difficult to find any particular grave, there appears to be a few areas, fenced off but if you were to contact the church there may be a possibility that you would be given access, can't promise.

A good site for the church is http://www.waltonteamministry.com/stmarys.html

In case there are any other responses, this might save duplication.

More help on the grave inscriptions would be very handy.
