Gt Gt Grandfather Robert(b1824) married a Margaret Chadwick in November 1849 at St Wilfreds and according to the marriage cert. Robert snr. was a plumber. AS i can,t see me getting to Warrington in the foreseeable future, I wondered if any one has any ideas on how I can get any further info?

For anyone looking the marriage was at St Wilfrid's Grappenhall.

Is Robert a wire drawer on the census? Is he the one that says on the 1851 census he was born in Latchford?

According to Genuki the church of St James Latchford was opened as a chapel to St Wilfrid's church Grappenhall. St James Latchford opened in 1777 and St Wilfrid Grappenhall is ancient. For a baptism you probably need to start with these 2 churches parish registers. They have been deposited at cheshire Record office Chester and may be on film at the outpost at Warrington library.

You could look on ww.familysearch.org Other than that it might be a case of a researcher, a visit or if there is an LDS Family History centre nearby they may be preapred to get copies of the filmss for you to look at. There is a charge for this and I'm not sure if the service is still available.

Hi Phil
I'm guessing you have Robt & Margt in census.
In 1851 their baby daughter transcribed as Iriscilla
Have sent an error to Anc to changed it to Priscilla.
Cheers
Tina
