Annie was born outside of marriage ((on the 1881 census her mother was the housekeeper no sign of the wife))would the church have allowed a baptism

..I have searched the Parish records and cannot find her.
Annie Taylor Shaw is on FBMD born 1881 and I think the little mite died in 1883.
Thanks Ann

The child could have been baptised the entry would just probably show no father. I would look all round the possible churches and perhaps wherever she came from. However she may not have had the child baptised.

Tina...Yes I did find Annie on the 1881 census transcribed as A Shaw(( this led me to FBMD..)) the family has only been transcribed with their initials....My Gt Grandfather as F Taylor. So I think he must have been Annie Taylor Shaws father. Their address at that time was Tiber Street.?
Thanks Ann

Thanks Tina I do have all the details about the family...it was just Annie I couldnt find a baptism for... I was hoping to see if Gt Grandfather was transcribed as her father.. but then found she had died 1883 so my link with the Shaws ended there.
Hilary yes have been down this road but not with Annie...Annie would have been my grandfathers stepsister.Grandfather being Charles William Taylor.
Thanks Ann
