Is there anyone who is related to my great great grandfather Patrick O'Neill born 1836 in Thomas town, Co Kilkeny. He lived in the area of Vauxhall Road and on the 1881 census was living at 5 williams Terrace, Tatlock Street. He died in 1892 drowned in the Leeds /Liverpool canal at boundary Street bridge. He had 3 daughters, so far as I know, with his wife Mary McGarry- Mary ann O'Neill, Susan O'Neill and my great grandmother Julia O'neill.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Adrian O'Neill

For anybody who wants to check the family, the 1881 reference is
RG11; Piece: 3598; Folio: 92; Page: 31 family spelt Oneil.

Are you just looking to make contact with living people or is there any other way we could help?

Hi Ade
I'm not sure if you have Julia's baptism at St Anthony's?
If you save the document, you should be able to enlarge it.
It gives her godparents. 2nd down on the left

Quick question
Julia is their only child in 1881 aged 11 which is unusual for this time.
Were Mary Ann & Susan born after this census please?
Tks

Mary ann and Susan both were born before Julia- susan I lose sight of after 1871 census and Mary ann marries into the Kirk family.I am in touch with a decendant but she does not know much of these people. patrick married a mary Mcgarry in 1864 in Liverpool but I dont know if they had more children. Thanks for the baptism cert but I have most records on julia, mariage, death burial etc. She had a tragic life married in 1892 to william graham had seven children, 3 died in early years, father drowned in canal same year as marriage. Abandoned, i think by husband, went into Liverpool workhouse with 3 of her 4 remaining children, another died there and became alcoholic-any wonder.
Thanks
Ade
