I'm looking for a birth/baptism of an Elizabeth Kelly in about 1813. The parents are Silvester Kelly and Elizabeth Webster. The family were RC although Silvester and Elizabeth married in 1807 at St Paul's C of E in Liverpool.

Thanks Mary. It must have been an obscure church or outside Liverpool or on the outskirts. The clue that led me to Silvester Kelly and Elizabeth Webster was a baptism at St Patrick's Church in 1842. Elizabeth's daughter Mary Brookfield had a godfather called Silvester Kelly. Silvester Kelly and Elizabeth Webster had a son called Silvester Kelly who might have been the godfather (of Mary not the film

). There was only these two Silvester Kellys in the Liverpool area on the 1841 Census and they were in the right area, Toxteth.

I don't think all of the churches are on Ancestry. Either they are still transcribing or not available to be published online. Having a chat with our Ed Officer about the lack of some, she reminded me that there is the likelihood that each church still required to give their permission even to Local FH Societies for their records to be transcribed and burned to CD.

I've just found this baptism at my local library it was listed as Eliz Kelly with the parents as Silvester Kelly and Eliz Kelly. It took place at St Peter's Priory (presumably St Peter's Seel Street) on 2 Feb 1814 and there are sibling baptisms there for the same family that match the census returns.
