Looking for burial record

I'm looking for the burial record of Joseph Eakins in 1896. I've searched through Ford cemetery and Anfield and can't seem to find him. He was about 40 when he died and lived on Banastre street in 1891 so wouldn't have travelled too far for the burial.
Does anyone know if there's a way of searching records at Kirkdale cemetery?
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
The family were poor but I still imagine they will need some sort of burial recorded.

If you have the exact date of death and address from the Certificate you could ask Allerton Lodge, enquiry via Liverpool Council 0151 233 3004
A search through our Websites board might also bring up a few other places to search.

Kirkdale Cemetery records are held at the Liverpool Record Office.

OK thanks. Are they held at Sanshills or are there copies in the Museum? I might head the museum this afternoon if there are.
Thanks,

Sorry I'm a bit late coming back to the computer, I couldn't find them on the Record Office search but I think there are a few problems with it at present, so it would be best to give them a ring before you head out.
I know the Order Books are in Sandhills, but as you don't have the numbers yet you need to check the burial registers.

Just checking the handbook, but it's not easy to tell if the records are on microfilm or not but I have come across a comment that might be interesting to you since you appear to be looking for an RC burial
".... Roman Catholic burials often took place away from the area in which the deceased had lived. This is exemplified by St. Oswalds, Old Swan, opened in 1842 with a surrounding graveyard, which "by degrees became the favourite burying place for the Catholics of the town ..." many of whom lived at some distance from the Church.
So it might be worthwhile checking there also.
