I have found a William Lee and Catherine Lee on the 1911 census in the above home, can anyone tell me about this place and where I might be able to find details
For some reason I think these could be my relatives but what I don't understand is that their parents would have still been alive at the time but I cannot find them on the 1911 census
Hope someone can help me with this.

Fazakerley Cottage Homes was usually the place where the children would have been sent if they were orphaned, however, it's possible that the parents may have been ill themselves and in an infirmary/workhouse (search by initials only and see if you get any results with relationship "Inmate" or perhaps patient).
There are records as detailed on the National Archives site
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/ ... oc&cid=0#0 and they are held at the Liverpool Record Office, howevert, I believe you should contact them first to find out if the date you are interested in has been microfilmed in which case it will be at the Museum. If not filmed then you will need to order the record and view it at Sandhills.

Fazackerley Cottage Homes are not on microfilm, they are held at Sandhills. The records up to 1909 are available to look at because these are outside the 100 year rule. You will have to e.mail the Research Officer Mr. Roger Hull and enquire about the records 1910 upwards at
roger.hull@liverpool.gov.uk. There may be a search fee for the information.

Hi Tina,
thank you for your reply William and Catherine are the ones I have found there, I think the William could be my Grandfather and Catherine his sister, I also think I found another sister Sarah there.
To Katie and Mary, thank you for your reply, I will follow your suggestions up, hopefully this might help me solve the hole in my tree between 1901 and 1941.
Just need to finde William Lee born 1880 and his father William Lee born about 1857. On William Lee'(1857) wedding certificate his name was down as Leigh
I know William Lee Born 1880 died between 1901 and 1925 but not sure of actual date, could well have been before 1911. His Wife Mary Lee went on to Marry a Thomas Jones and died about 1960.
