This concerns the Masterson family, but am making this a new topic. I cannot find the birth records on BMD for James Masterson c.1866 or Mary Ann Masterson c 1868. The Liverpool History Project site does not have baptisms for these dates (they are still working on it) nor can I find St Vincent de Paul church on the Family Search.org ( I was hoping to order microfilm). Can any one advise where I can get these records. As their parents were married in this church, and their mother was godmother to their cousin at the same church, I cannot believe these children would not have been baptised, even if they weren't registered. Many thanks for any help. Moya

The records for this church are held at the Liverpool Record Office Reference 282 SVP 1852-1908.
Have you checked if this is the nearest church to where they were living as many baptisms I have found took place in a different church to where the marriage took place, simply because they lived in another parish.
It might be worth your while paying a researcher to do this look up for you as they would know where else to check if the original search failed. If you decide to go along this route, please contact me and I can put you in touch with somebody who will produce results if they are there to be found.

THe Latter Day Saints dont appear to have St Vincent de Paul in their Library catalogue. THe registers are on microfilm at Liverpool

For the sake of clarity, the thread's title might be amended to include the 'Saint' - it is St. James Street. I don't think there has been a church in James Street.
