Hi Colette,
I googled the name with an 'Austria' tag and got a hit that might be of help:

http://forums.familysearch.org/en/showt ... hp?p=22962

Then tried the Austrian telephone book:
http://genealogy.about.com/gi/o.htm?zi= ... ww.etb.at/

Searched on *amiseck in Vienna and got 2 hits on Tramsek.

Does your man appear in any UK census?

Hi

Its Vic i am helping this search has been going on for a couple of years now.

You may recall Teresa Rebecca Lockwood (born Lpool 1864) who married William Halsall in Liverpool.. then in 1891 shes gone and hes down as married.

Vic found this marriage for Teresa R Lockwood in Newark New Jersey Aug 30th 1893 her parents Robert Lockwood & Alice Juster.. her mothers surname was Eustace..

So very similar we really think this is Teresa.so now the quest is to track this Michael and Teresa down any help appreciated

Thanks Colette

On www.ancestry.co.uk on the 1920 US Census there is a Michel TRAMSEK bn Austria 1872 with a wife Elizabeth. Her birth is given as 1883.

I cannot see the full entry as I don't have a world subscription - probably need to look it up in the library.

Response:
I have found a Micheal Grameseck in a 1910 US Census of Essex, NJ. It looks like when he came to the US his last name was either mispelled or was changed upon entry which was common at that time.

What do you think ????

Teresa Rebecca Lockwood married William Henry Halsall in Birkenhead 1884, they had one daughter named Alice who died by 1891 William H was lodging in Toxteth down as married no Teresa around. He married his cousin in 1894 Sarah Randal Kelly but they had a daughter in 1892 so had to have been seeing each other a while before their marriage, Sarah also had another child in 1891 named William no father on birth cert.. so this could be the reason Teresa left him 3's a crowd.

The marriage for this Teresa to Michael Tramiseck 1893 fits perfect and gives her parents names too Robert & Alice, although as i said the mother Alice was put down as Juster when it should be Eustace.

There are no other Teresa R Lockwoods born in England with parents Robert & Alice

Col,
There are just too many similarities, even exact matches, for that data you now have to be just coincidence. I'd say you have found her.

Assuming he's massaged his age later to match a new wife, the entry in 1920 could still be him, there's a similarity of occupations.
