Hi Daggers
Have you any photos with the name Reynolds.
I have the following
Sgt Thomas Reynolds 2742 2nd Batt South Lancashire Regiment - Died 5.12.1918 On Service at Home of Pneumonia. Buried at Allerton Cemetery Sec X1V RC 219
I also believe that his son or another relative could be mentioned although buried elsewhere.

Hi Eileen
I remember Reynolds from a while back as they lived in Raglan St where my Ed's family were in 1901 & later moved to Shakespeare (Shakie) St.
Wasn't the wife Greek??
Good luck, just thought I'd drop in for a chat

Hi Phil
I don't believe that Francis who died in 1919 is the one Eileen is looking for.
The family were in Manchester in 1901 census, mother Annie, father
Thomas & little Francis 6 mnths.
Eileen's Reynolds were always in Garston.
Thanks Phil.
Eileen we didn't have the benefit of the census after 1901 back then.
Thomas, Ellen & Co listed, Francis bn 1910....
could it be the other Francis, remember from around the corner son of Patk??

Eileen
Just back, so I'm late in seeing the thread.
Yes I have a photo of the headstone. If you PM me with your email address I'll pass it on.
His details from the War Graves Commission are:
REYNOLDS, T, Serjeant, South Lancashire Regiment, 2nd Bn., Labour Corps, transf. to (605974) Clearing Office, , 46, 05/12/1918, 2742, Husband of Ellen Reynolds, of 18, Banks Rd., Garston, Liverpool.
[Grave no.]14. R.C. 219.
Sad that he died so soon after the end of the war.

Hi
England Phil - That is not the family as Tina has also said as they always lived in Garston. The Thomas Reynolds that I have asked about is the husband of Ellen Croft. The reason I have mentioned Francis Reynolds is that I found his name in the Garston War dead in a book in Liverpool Record Office. No date of birth only date of death and the address 18 Banks Road which is the same address as Thomas when he died.
Tina - You are right it is me asking more questions on this family
They were wrongly transcribed in 1901 as KERPNOLAS!!!!
Daggers - I have replied to your PM with my e-mail and thanks for your input.
I have also given you some information about Thomas and his family, if you need anything else, please ask.
Katie - I have also replied to your PM and will try to get to Liverpool to view the photo you mention and see if anything else turns up.
Thanks again to everyone for your help and interest

Thanks Eileen my "greek" comment came because of the error in transcribing.
I only remember all this because cuz Tommy's rellies, the Coffeys, were a couple of doors down in Banks Rd.
And there were Reynolds in the little side street, Whitley, Whiteley?
All the best
Tina
