Can anyone tell me where I will get Information regarding a Fatal accident which involved the death of a relative namely a 9 yrs old boy William (Billy) Walton who died 23rd April 1938. Then buried at Anfield Cemetery 27th April 1938. Could anyone I have been to the Second floor of the Livepool Library and with the help of a Liverpool & South West Lancs Help desk assistance tried to look at some Newspaper Articles but could not find any Articles regarding this accident. Any help would be much appreciated

Sorry but the access to the Old Newspapers, which can be made available sometimes through your library membership, is up to 1900 only.

Hi,
There would probably have been an inquest after such a tragedy as well as a Railway Authority and Police inquiry. I suggest trying to find a Coroner's report.

If the accident was in the Bootle area Local History South Sefton at Crosby library 0151 257 6401 have the Bootle Times on film. They may as you have a date be prepared to do a look up for you if you live a long way away.
I would also suggest you post on the Bootle forum
www.bootlehistory.com as someone there may be able to help.
Does the child's death certificate give the place of death?
Was the accident 1930 as your title says or 1938 as in the text? I have looked on the
www.railswayarchive.co.uk site with no success
