New website

A new website containing more than 3,000 records of small businesses and people with common surnames living between 1760 and 1820 in the north west of England has been launched at www.northwestfamilybusiness.arts.manchester.ac.uk
Designed by Professor Hannah Barker from the University of Manchester , the site contains court records, wills, business records and family correspondence. All from the pre-census period, which may be of benefit to family historians.
The free-to-access site has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and its records can be searched by name, business and document type.
I will post the website itself on the website forum as well.
