Cahill & Williams Link

Back again and still searching !
Sarah Ellen Cahill (born Williams) has disappeared but her brother Benjamin has not.
I think the following information is at least 100 years old so I am content with posting the following names.
Can anyone help with a link between Sarah Ellen Cahill & Benjamin Williams
(her brother & family).
About 1910-1912
Benjamin Williams married to Elizabeth (McBride)
Children were
Owen b. 1904
Mary b.1906
Francis b. 1908 &
Josephine b. 1910
What do I say ? I am looking for a Williams connection to a wayward sister
or aunt or great aunt.
Still believe in the difficult being sorted out!

I suggest you give Benjamin (and Elizabeth's) dates of birth and birthplace to help out and any parental information from the marriage certificate please.

Hi
You haven't given any birthyear or birthplace for Sarah Ellen or who and when she married but freebmd says 1887 to James Thomas Cahill so we just need her birthyear and birthplace?
Is she on the 1911 census
If not - what is the last "sighting" of her

About 1910-1912
Benjamin Williams married to Elizabeth (McBride)
But they had children born in 1904?? - freebmd shows that marriage as 1901

Apologies to Carole. That "About 1910-1912" can out of nowhere. Just reinforces that you should preview and edit before sending post.

I am just posting the link to your post on the Liverpool Echo message board as there have been quite a few replies so it will save us duplicating info

James Thomas Cahill, wife Sarah Ellen Cahill and daughter Ellen are totally missing from the 1891 census. People here have been looking for them in vain for years. In 1901 James reappears with daughter now written as Helen at Kendrick street in Seaforth Liverpool. The census says he has a wife, Margaret in the same house but this marriage did not take place until the following year.

Thanks for thinking of me after all this time.
In front of me I have the Birth Cert. for Sarah Ellen Cahill born 22 Nov 1894.
Father was Michael Cahill (should have been James Thomas.) Mother's maiden name was Houlgraves (should have been Williams.) Address was 4 Siddons Street Litherland which had never previously appeared in any documents.
So, not mine !! But I still live in hope.
Funny thing! She appeared on the A..... Liverpool Confirmation documents as the godmother to a Florence Gallagher. Gallagher was the name of a witness at Sarah Ellen's wedding. But although the wedding had occurred in June 1887 and the confirmation occurred 4 months later at St Anthonys', she used her maiden name on the Confirmation Cert.
Please keep her in your sights.

CURRY see that name before haven't we
mother's christian name a bit suspect on transcription and image though

Hi Simone and Alan,
10 years after the last census that Simone found Florence in, the family are still at the same address 6 Candia St. Florence is still with her mother but is now married to Hugh O'Neill.
Marriages Sep 1906 - W. Derby - 8b - 1161.
Gallagher, Florence Agatha and O'Neill, Hugh.
[Hugh bn abt 1874, Liverpool, occupation 'seaman']
There appear to be 5 children that could be born to this marriage...
O'NEILL, Hugh Gerard - West Derby - 1909.
O'NEILL, Francis X - West Derby - 1910.
O'NEILL, Florence A - West Derby - 1913.
O'NEILL, James H - Liverpool - 1915.
ONEILL, John - West Derby - 1918.

I have just finished looking into each house on the streets suggested in this posting, looking for any sign of a name that could in any way be interpreted as Cahill in the 1891 census. Sorry to say, "No luck !" I did find the Tomlinsons & Gallaghers though. Thanks !
But the day produced some positives, the best one being my g grandfather Christopher's Birth/Baptism which confirmed the names of the couple whom I thought were his parents ...courtesy of the Liverpool Parish Records. Plus records of the death of two of my father's siblings, both before the age of 1.
Just the things to keep the interest bubbling.
