Please could anybody tell which Liverpool news paper I would possibly be able to find a death announcement for the following person:-
Alexander McGregor Ferguson died on 17 December 1933 at 2 Church Mount West Derby.
I have my grandfather's death certificate but I am having difficulties tracing where he was buried.
Also where would I be able to make enquiries e.g are the papers on micro fiche & where?
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Alexander McGregor Ferguson - burial
Hello Marjorie,
Do you know what religion he was and whether he was still 'practising' when he died?
Did he actually die at home [Church Mount, West Derby] or in hospital? If the latter it may be possible to trace the undertaker who collected his remains and arranged the funeral.

I checked the Echo Deaths sections today from 17th Dec to 28th Dec 1933 but I'm afraid I saw nothing for Alexander McGregor Ferguson (I even looked for each name individually just in case it was some odd listing).

Hello Dickiesam
Thank you for your reply.
I'm afraid that I don't know his religion. He died at home and his death was certified by G C Mort - Coroner for Liverpool after post mortem without inquest.
I would love to find his burial place.

Death Announcement
Hello Marjorie,
It is possible one of the crew here can tell you how to access the Coroner's Office records for where and when the postmortem was carried out. I think they are at the LRO. As with the hospital suggestion, you could then possibly find out what Undertaker collected the remains and hence what happened afterwards.
However, there may have been a cremation not a burial so would be worthwhile contacting the nearest crematorium first and ask them to check their records to rule out a cremation. According to Liverpool City Council there are only two crematoria; Anfield and Springwood. Anfield opened in 1896 and Springwood in 1975, so it would have to be Anfield.
This is the postal address [couldn't see a phone #]:
Anfield Crematorium

The only email address I could find was this one:

There is a file in the Liverpool Record Office M347 COR Coroner's Records that gives the details of what is available between the dates 1892-1994
