My mother's cousin Thelma Wilson (b1925) lived in Liverpool in 1925 to 1942, at 116 Albert Edward Road Kensington, Liverpool. I have found her Marriage to Norman Kay in 1947 at St.Mary's Kirkdale. They had two children. Thelma would be around 85 now. My mother lost touch with her in the 1950's. Any one able to help? I would greatly appreciate any information or direction suggestions. Many thanks, Lorraine.

Hi and welcome to the forum. We are often asked so have put together some suggestions about
Tracing living people
There is a possible death for
Thelma Kay in September 1990, Liverpool 36 669, age 66 - birth date is given as 20 October 1923.
You may need to obtain the death certificate to see who registered the death, to confirm whether this is indeed your cousin, however it is an unusual name.

Thanks Mary A. I have a letter from Thelma to my mother in October 1942 in which Thelma says that she will be 18 on Feb 10th, so that definitely places her birth in 1925. Can you direct me elsewhere??
Many thanks, Lorraine

Always worth bearing in mind that a birthdate is only as good as the person providing the information - the deceased isn't available to ask the question of.

Did you look at the suggestions made on the posting I gave the link for above?

Sorry all, I have only just found my way back to this page. Yes, I had all the family info. Sorry I put you to the trouble. I don't know whether my messages were really reaching you. I have already sent away for one death certificate, and will look seriously at who of the others I will select.
Thanks again. Lorraine.

Hi Lorraine
If you have sent for the death certificate for the young lass, it will give you who registered the death.
It may have been in hospital.
Poor little love

The information that I have is that she was only sick for three weeks. The family was only notified of her death by telegram. Very heartless I thought.

Hi Mary,
I have had a quick look at the National Archives. They will come in handy for some areas of my research thank you. Fortunately I already subscribe to both Ancestry.com and Find my Past. But I will use it as another tool from time to time thank you.
