Kinvig / Aikman

Hi All,
This may be a very long shot but you just never know. My great Aunt Ada Mary Brew was born 1913 in the IOM moved to Liverpool and married Lesley E Kinvig in 1936 and had one child Joan born 1939 Liverpool and she married a David A Aikman in 1963 and had 2 children. I cannot find a death for Ada and I know that she was still alive in 1993 when my Nan (Her younger sister) died. If she is still with us, that would make her 97 and I would dearly love to trace either Ada Kinvig or Joan Aikman as they are the only people left on that side of the family. I have tried phone books and things but this brings up nothing. If anybody knows anything about either of them, I would much appreciate you passing this on or letting me know.
Thanks for reading
Emma

We have tried to put together a few tips for
Tracing a Living Relative
If anybody has any information on living people, please ensure that they send the details by pm rather than publishing on the open forum. Thank you.

Do you know which area of Liverpool she lived...if she is alive ,there`s a good chance she is in a Nursing Home, but an area of Liverpool where she lived would be a big help......allan
strange,,,the marriage is recorded , but Joans birth isn`t,,,,allan

Not sure if this will help but the only Leslie E Kinvig death listed was in 1968 in the Prescot District is this your great uncle?.
Looking at the phone books on Ancestry there is an LE Kinvig listed at the same Huyton address from at least 1958 - 1984 the last book available. The name were never changed?
Do you have Leslie's death certificate? That would at least give you a home address at the time he died and give an area to look in.

Hi Hilary,
Huyton rings a bell yes and her husband was Lesley E Kinvig who died on the date you said, I vaguely remember my Nan saying something about Huyton and Ada as they lived in Beechams Close and us on Tarbock Road which is in Huyton. I do not have the death certificate to confirm, does the directory give a number at all - like Allan says, if she is still with us she would be in a nursing home surely but I'd give it a go
Thank you for replying and looking that info up for me

The address given is 24 Page Bank Road Huyton but that was up to 1984 you would need to check later directories. Have you tried any of the sites that have the electoral roll on them? They are usually paying. There was a disc our local library had that was about 2000 compiled before you could say you didn't want your name on it. Maybe other libraries have the same disc.
The directories are on Ancestry.

Hi Emma,
I spotted your post in 'another place' and because your post is about people who are possibly still living, I have sent you a PM in 'that other place'. There are addresses as recent as 2006 for Ada Kinvig and Joan/David Aikman.
So, sent you a copy PM from here...
Dickiesam
PS: Have a phone number for J and D Aikman
